The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce has received the Award of Excellence in the category of Advertising and Marketing by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

The CBL Charitable Foundation of Citizen’s Building & Loan recently awarded Greer Community Ministries with a $15,000 donation to support building improvements and operational costs.  

Q: I’m currently a senior in college. I’m completely debt-free right now, and I am wondering what I should do to stay this way after graduation.

Marleylilly, an e-commerce business specializing in monogrammed gifts, accessories, and non-monogrammed boutique apparel, is expanding its Upstate operations with new corporate operations in Greer.

The company expects to create 69 new jobs, investing $10 million over the next five years.

Q: We’re debt-free including our home. My husband is a man of faith, but a bit of a dreamer. He has written several inspirational books that haven’t sold, but he feels this and public speaking are his calling. He wants us to sell the house, and live on the proceeds for a year, while he pursues this dream.

Q: I’ve been in my current job for five years. I’ve also had a second job for three of those years, but now I’d like to make a change. Do you have any advice on how to convince a potential employer that I’m a good hire, even though I had a couple of jobs in the past that I quit after a month or two?

Q: I recently applied for life insurance for the first time with a child rider. The insurance company denied my request for the rider portion because my son has hemophilia. Do you have any suggestions or advice?
