The massive public reaction to the tragic deaths of three black teens at the hands of white police officers has led to a national call for use of body cameras to record and prevent any future mistreatment of suspects.
On the morning of Nov. 26, we awoke to find that our American and state flags had been cut from our 20-foot lighted pole. After further investigation, we found that the American flag had been cut from the stars to the end of the third white stripe from the top.
The decision by the NFL to suspend Adrain Peterson for the duration of the football season should have African-American parents across the nation concerned. Let me state empathically before I go any further- I am not a fan of football, nor did I know of Adrain Peterson before this bogus criminal charge was brought against him.
The Greer community really let its light shine for my brother, J. Van Collins. The family and I are so grateful for all you have done for us.
