With frustration abundant by traditional learning systems, paired with recent Covid-19 measures and precautions, a growing number of parents are seeking other opportunities for their children.

New Trinity Baptist Church will be offering free summer meals for youth through Aug. 5.
Breakfast and lunches can be picked up from noon-1 p.m. at the church fellowship hall.
New Trinity is located at 1130 Old Spartanburg Hwy. in Lyman.

camp applications
The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is now accepting applications for its summer camps: Summer STEM, CREATEng, GoSciTech, and iTEAMS Xtreme.
Campers will be accepted on a rolling basis until May 13, 2022, or until full. Courses fill quickly.
