Middle Tyger Library plans events
The Middle Tyger Library has several child and adult activities planned for this week.
On Wednesday, June 7, at 3 p.m., Middle Tyger Library is hosting a Summer LEGO Club. Participants can build weekly during the month of June. The activity is most suitable for the 6-12 age group.
Lyman to present Movie Nights
The Town of Lyman will begin free movie nights on Thursday, June 8, at the town amphitheater.
The first movie of the season will be “Puss In Boots: The Last Wish.”
Future movie titles will be posted on the Town of Lyman Facebook page the week before each event.

Museum to celebrate exhibit
The Upcountry History Museum will hold a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The event will celebrate the opening of summer exhibition, “Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit.”
The exhibit offers colorful adventures in literacy and STEAM learning.
Spinning Jenny to host comedy, fairy fest events
The Spinning Jenny will play host to a trio of “Mid-Summer” events in June.
The events kick off with a performance of William Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” by the actors of the Greenville Shakespeare Company on Friday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m.
Doors open at 7 p.m.

The bluebird has long been considered a symbol of happiness, hope and prosperity in many cultures. Personally, a bluebird sighting always brings me great joy, and over the last few weeks I’ve noticed quite a few.
Singer-songwriter Lev to perform in area
On June 13, award-winning singer-songwriter Eli Lev is coming to Greenville as part of his summer tour.
Lev, originally from Maryland, is traveling across the country during the tour, and he’s making a stop in the area to perform at Inchoate Art Gallery. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
