Lana, the Greenville Zoo’s female Sumatran orangutan, and her one-month-old daughter will made their public debut in the orangutan exhibit last Saturday. Now the zoo is looking for a name for the new addition.
Cirque Italia Gold Unit is bringing its traveling water circus to the Spartanburg Fairgrounds Sept. 6-9.
This new performance will feature an ultra-modern water curtain that controls every droplet of water meticulously. Audience members can expect to see words and beautiful patterns as the water falls to the ‘lagoon’ below.
Tapping into his love of nature, ceramicist and photographer Dave Sawyer will exhibit “Wildness,” a collection of pottery and decorative wall art, at West Main Artists Co-op in Spartanburg, Sept. 20-Oct. 13.

Furman University Theatre Arts has announced its season for the 2018-19 academic year.
The lineup includes a student-led production and four other plays. All shows take place in The Playhouse on the Furman campus.
