Greer artist Patrick A. DeCrane will exhibit his newest collection of watercolor paintings, “Vintage and Classic,” at West Main Artists Co-op July 2 through Aug. 3.
A public and free reception for this exhibit will be held on Thursday, July 18, 5-9 p.m., during the city’s monthly ArtWalk.
The first ever Hard Rock 5K Run at Sandy Flat Quarry, hosted by Hanson Aggregates, drew 124 runners to the work site on June 15.
The benefit race raised $10,969 for Greenville Humane Society.
The Humane Society will use the money for sick and injured animals in their Healing Place.
Upstate Warrior Solution and Prisma Health are offering free Outdoor Adventure Programs for veterans this summer and beyond.
Activities began in May and continue through Oct. 9.

Several area title holders will compete for Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen next week at Township Auditorium in Columbia.
Preliminary competitions will be held June 25-27 at 7 p.m. each night with preliminary winners announced each night.
The Greer Cultural Arts Council has announced the contestants who will vie for Greer Idol/Greer Idol Jr. 2019 during this summer’s Tunes in the Park series.
