If you run into a Greer Police officer this summer, your next SnoBall from Pelican’s could be on them.
The Greer Police Department recently received a $1,000 donation from Pelican’s SnoBalls in the form of Pelican Bucks, and authorities say they’re excited to use it as a tool to reach the community.
Local patrons are going to have to get their Friday hamburger fix some place else, following the announcement that The Strip Club 104 would be discontinuing its gourmet lunch.
The restaurant did not open for lunch any other day of the week, and Owner Jason Clark said the special offering became too successful to manage.

Five contestants will compete for the 2018 Greer Idol crown this summer.
The competition, which kicked off last Friday, will take place in the coming weeks during Tunes in the Park at the city’s amphitheater.
A once-in-a-lifetime bloom has the neighbors of Alvin and Betty Arms taking notice.
The Arms residence is home to a century plant, a cactus-like plant that blooms several feet high.
“They only bloom every hundred years,” Nancy Wilson, a neighbor, said.
