Family and friends gathered at the Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizens Breakfast Tuesday morning to honor longtime Greer resident Keith Smith.
The Greer Commission of Public Works sponsored the breakfast at the Cannon Centre, surprising Smith with an award for his contributions to life in the community.
Doris Franchina is celebrating a century of life, with parties held in her honor at Greer Community Ministries (GCM) and the Needmore Community Center.
