| Aprons for a cause: Susan Smith, owner of EmbroidMe, puts on one of the aprons her company is donating for volunteers to wear during Dine Out for Mom, a Let There Be Mom fundraiser. |
| Organization helps sprout memories
Krista Gibson Staff Reporter
It has been three years since Kipra Anderson first planted the seeds for the Let There Be Mom organization. It has been three years since she first wondered what would happen to her family if she became diagnosed with a fatal disease.
Since that time, Let There Be Mom (LTBM) has helped countless families deal with the imminent loss of a mom or a dad by preserving memories and bringing peace to the parent and their families.
This is also the third year that the fundraiser, Dine Out for Mom, will be held to raise money for the organization. Thursday, Oct. 22 is set aside by local restaurants to give a percentage of their profits to Let There Be Mom.
To donate to the organization, just dine at those restaurants on that Thursday (see page 9).
