New eatery brings parrilla to downtown

Matthew Burdick
Staff reporter

When Stan Christofferson opened his first Greer restaurant, he looked to the cuisine of the east coast and gulf coast of the U.S. for inspiration.

The continued success of that first establishment, The Great Bay Oyster House, has led Christofferson to try a his hand with a new culinary endeavor in the city. Extending his gaze a little further south this time around, Stan and his wife, Diane, are now sating appetites at Taco Parrilla, across the street from Great Bay at 102 East Poinsett Street.

As the name implies, tacos make up a significant portion of the menu, but these tacos are served with a twist.
