Dec. 7, 1920 – July 1, 2010
Samuel Luther Boone, 89, of Greer, husband of Ann Hart Boone, died July 1, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Mr. Boone was born in Hendersonville, N.C., a son of the late W. Laddie and Delzie Sylva Boone. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Duncan.
Surviving are his wife of the home; one son: Ronnie Boone of Sunset Beach, N.C. and a stepdaughter, Karyn Garand of Easley; a sister Nettie McMillan of Davidson, N.C.; six grandsons, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene McMillan Boone; a daughter, Gail Boone, and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Wood Mortuary from 10-10:45 a.m.
