Within her first two weeks on the job, new Wellford police officer Sierra Key was riding along on a high-speed chase.

Now, Key is settling into her role with the town, following city council approval at the end of January.

“We have some great officers, and I’m so glad to have Sierra,” said Mayor Patricia Watson.
