Disasters rise, Red Cross responds

Since December, the Western Carolinas Region of the American Red Cross, with the assistance of 300 volunteers, has responded to about 275 disasters to assist more than 800 people. In conjunction with this statistic, Greer Mayor Rick Danner proclaimed March to be American Red Cross month.
