Special recognition was given to the Greer Parks and Recreation Department during the Nov. 26 Greer City Council meeting.
The department is the 2012 recipient for the South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association’s Parks Excellence Award for the rehabilitation of the Cannon Centre.
