Project breaks ground

City officials broke ground on a $10.8 million streetscape project Tuesday morning, marking the start of an 18 month effort to transform Greer’s downtown.
The project, which is being called CenterG, will revamp sidewalks and roads along Trade Street. The streetscape project has an estimated completion date of June, 2020.
