Greer Idol and Greer Idol Teen contestants took to the stage and belted out their best renditions of patriotic-themed songs in honor of veterans and current military personnel during Saturday’s Freedom Blast in downtown Greer. Although they were there to compete, the meaning behind the day did not escape the performers.
