In 1960, students of Florence Chapel High School in Duncan became part of a landmark study called Project Talent, joining more than 400,000 American teenagers and 17 schools in South Carolina.
The project has launched a 58-year follow-up of its participants, focusing on unravelling the mysteries of Alzheimer’s disease.
