Wellford doubles fine for drugs

Wellford is more than doubling the maximum fine for any drug and paraphernalia violations to match surrounding agencies.
Last Tuesday night, city council unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance changing the maximum fine from $450 to $1,092.
