to put on Jingle Jazz
Fellowship Greenville is putting on three Jingle Jazz shows. The church wanted an opportunity to invite newcomers to the church during the Jingle Jazz events, a fun Christmas gathering where people can relax with jazz music in a holiday-themed environment.

Newspaper seeking nominations

The Greer Citizen is seeking the community’s help in seeking nominations for who will be named the 2023 Citizen of the Year.

Each year, a person displaying extraordinary character and consistent involvement in the Greer community is awarded and named the Citizen of the Year.

Duncan to welcome new businesses

The Town of Duncan is expecting several new businesses downtown, starting next year, all along Main Street.

A taste of Germany

Just after the new year, German restaurant Duncan Doner Haus will be opening at 132 W. Main Street.

Misty Fant, Town Event Coordinator, said the restaurant will serve authentic German cuisine.

Customers of the Greer Walmart Supercenter helped Greer Police Officers ‘Pack a Patrol’ to support the Cops for Tots program on Saturday. The Nov. 11 event filled 11 cruisers.

Serving children since 1989

Since 1989, the Greer Police Department (GPD) has been serving children of the community every Christmas season without fail.

Thirty-four years into their Cops for Tots program, the department raises more and more toys each year and has served up to 600 children at Christmastime in past years.
