The Town of Lyman is looking to implement unused capacity charges for local industrial users.

On Monday, council approved the first reading of an ordinance to amend Town Ordinance Chapter 10 Sewer System Article I to V and Approve the Town revised Pretreatment Program, including but not limited to the Revised Sewer Use Ordinance.

Judy Albert will seek re-election

Incumbent Judy Albert has filed for the City of Greer Municipal Election as she seeks to retain her seat representing District 6.

Albert’s filing leaves only District 4 with no candidates to date. Candidates have until noon on Aug. 16 to add their names to ballots for the Nov. 2 election.

Prisma limits visitation

Prisma Health is once again limiting visitation at all of its hospitals and clinical facilities due to the rise of COVID-19 infections.

“Adult inpatients, outpatients and ambulatory pediatric patients will be limited to one visitor,” Prisma stated in a release.
