Taylors clubs hold food drive

Taylors Lions Club and the recently organized branch club of Taylors, Chick Springs High Noon Club, sponsored a food drive for Harvest Hope.

Wood resigns from Lyman council

Greg Wood has resigned from Lyman Town Council.

Having served for four years, Wood said his decision to resign was “due to increased family and work responsibilities.”

Filing for the vacated council seat will open Feb. 12 at noon, and will close on Feb. 22 at noon. The non-partisan special election is set for April 27.

Greer FD earns top ISO rating

Homeowners and businesses in the City of Greer may be eligible for rate reductions on their insurance policies.

The Greer Fire Department recently received a Class 1 Public Protection Classification rating, which is the highest possible rating from the Insurance Service Office (ISO).

Josa McGee is hosting a Grand Opening for her new Greer boutique on Friday, Feb. 12.

Sha-bang Boutique will offer women’s clothing and accessories at 107 Middleton Way, Suite 5, Greer.

“I came up with the name when I first decided to make a beauty box,” McGee said. “My beauty box is called the whole sha-bang box.”
