Housing starts in Greer dipped during the pandemic, but are back up to pre-COVID-19 numbers, officials reported.

Housing starts within the City of Greer have already surpassed totals from all of last year.

To date, there have been a total 846 housing starts in 2020. By comparison, there were 740 in 2019, 527 in 2018 and 429 in 2017.

Big Thursday set for this week

The 41st installment of Greer Community Ministries’ Big Thursday event will have a different look due to COVID-19.

Fees at Greer Golf are being adjusted.

Greer City Council approved the move last week with the first reading of Ordinance Number 59-2020, amending the Comprehensive Fee Schedule for the recently purchased club on Gap Creek Road.
