City recognizes employee milestones

Greer officials recognized 18 employees last Tuesday for milestone achievements.

“From time to time, we like to set a time aside for employee recognition,” said Mayor Rick Danner. “This is an opportunity for us to come together and recognize and to thank those people who have reached milestones in their employment with us.”

Big Thursday still on for Nov. 5

Greer Community Ministries (GCM) will hold its annual Big Thursday event in November, but it will look a little different this year.

The community fundraiser, which is sponsored by D&D Motors, benefits the nonprofits’ four major programs: Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, the Food Pantry and Sharon’s Closet.
