South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) officials are projecting more than 5,000 COVID-19 deaths by Dec. 1.

That projection is nearly double the current death toll, which stands at 2,588 as of Monday.

A Campobello resident is launching a new app called Sellebrate.

The Benson Classic Car Show, benefiting Greer Community Ministries (GCM), has been postponed. The event, which usually takes place in August, has been rescheduled for March 27, 2021.

Greer City Council has approved, 5-1, to rezone 228 David Road from C-3 to R-12. Mayor Rick Danner was the lone opposing vote.

The decision comes after property owner Joshua Tyner purchased the wooded lot located at 228 David Road with the understanding that the parcel was residential.

Greenville County communities have received CARES Act funds to assist local residents with the fallout from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and ensuing shutdown.
