A 4 percent millage increase looks to be on the way for Wellford residents, following the approval of the first reading of the 2019-20 budget Tuesday morning.
The proposed budget increases the city’s millage from 61.5 to 65.5 and raises the Public Works Fee from $60 to $75 per year.
Despite concerns from local residents, Greer City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to annex a 13.67-acre property at 3006 Brushy Creek Road with R-12 zoning, paving the way for a new subdivision.

Generation Kid Strong, located at 209-D Riverside Court in Greer, is hosting Community Free Family Workout Nights every Wednesday evening all summer long.
