Development to bring 348 homes

A 348-unit development located on Highway 14 and Gibbs Shoals Road received final approval from the Greer Planning Commission Monday night.

The mixed-use development called Sudduth Farms sits on a total of 81.02 acres and will add 153 single family lots and 195 town homes.

Greer historian Joada Hiatt is inviting local residents to go on a Ghost Walk this Halloween.

During an eerie journey through Greer Station’s historic district, walkers will hear stories and legend of the unusual and supernatural,  combined with educational and historical facts about the city.

Greer Community Ministries is recruiting community support for its biggest fundraiser of the year.

The nonprofit’s 39th annual Big Thursday event, presented by D&D Motors, is set for Nov. 1 at Fairview Baptist Church, running from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Greer Police Department held its 14th annual golf tournament fundraiser Tuesday to benefit Cops for Tots.

Members of the Greer community helped the police department raise money for its Cops for Tots program on Tuesday, with a round of golf at Greer Country Club.

The 14th annual tournament has become the primary fundraiser for the Christmas program, which benefits under privileged children in the community.
