Megan Hall of Greer competed at Nationals in Orlando, Florida, July 19-22, and was crowned MAR USA Miss Teen USA. She also won national spokesmodel for sharing her platform, national rising Star award and National love supreme for her volunteering with her platform.

Greer Community Ministries (GCM) is collecting supplies to provide local students with the tools they need to begin school in August.
Students living in the greater Greer area, including Greer, Taylors, Duncan, Lyman, and Wellford are eligible.
The CBL Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to the Piedmont Women’s Center recently.
Lake Robinson and Lake Cunningham will now be a paddleboard destination following a Greer CPW decision on Monday.
Joining recreational activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing and sail boating, paddleboarding will be an option for those with proper permits.

Greer CPW is inviting members of the public to attend a free educational day on Friday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn about the importance of calling 8-1-1 before digging projects.

Firehouse Subs will host its seventh annual H2O for Heroes bottled water collection drive on Aug. 4.
This Saturday, area locations will provide one medium sub to each guest who donates an unopened, 24-pack of bottled water. The water will be given to local fire and police departments, emergency victims and community centers.
