Greer Planning Commission unanimously approved TXT 2018-02 from the Board of Architectural Review on Monday to change the boundaries of the Downtown Historic District, removing G021000101900—the former Tire Exchange building—and adding G021000101200—the former D&D Ford building as well as the Mutual Home parcels purchased by Grace Church.

Officials in Spartanburg County are reaching out to unincorporated areas to identify priority needs.

“We want to paint the outside of the building and seal or refinish the wood around the windows and front door,” Austin said.

For the fourth consecutive year, The City of Greer is being recognized for its data-driven management and reporting efforts by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).

ICMA awarded the City of Greer its first Certificate of Distinction for its role as a national leader in government performance management.
