Greer citizens to vote

In November, Greer residents will have the opportunity to vote on an ordinance that, if passed, will allow alcohol sales, excluding liquors, on Sundays for off premises consumption.

Greer Council voted to pass the referendum at the Aug. 12 meeting.

Last week, 40 individuals with disabilities took a step toward independence, learning how to ride a bike during the iCan Bike program, presented by Eastside YMCA. The program took place at Taylors First Baptist Church.

iCan Bike offers independence

Because of their persistence, and with the assistance of nearly 80 volunteers, 40 individuals with disabilities took a step toward independence as part of the iCan Bike program.

The program teaches people 8-years-old and older how to ride a bicycle without training wheels through a five-day program.

Minority Business Summit Thursday
