Barista Alley is celebrating its first anniversary in Greer on March 31 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. by giving away free drip coffee all day as well as having live music and food trucks.
Barista Alley is located at 125 East Poinsett Street, Greer.
Greer Community Ministries (GCM) is continuing its 2018 Fab 5 campaign in an effort stock food pantry shelves with basic nonperishable items that frequently run low.
The year’s Fab 5 items are: canned items including meat, fruit, pasta (ravioli, spaghetti rings), and soup, as well as 18 oz. jars of peanut butter.
A Byrnes High School science teacher is the first recipient of the Middle Tyger Community Center’s (MTCC) Wanda L. Fowler Community Champion Award for community service.
The award was given to Rhonda Dodson at MTCC’s 20th anniversary celebration and banquet last Tuesday night.
