The Greer Police Department (GPD) has named Caroline Copenhaver as Rookie Officer of the Year and Kaylin Richards as Officer of the Year.
The two women received their awards in February at the department’s annual awards banquet.

food drive April 26
The Greer Citizen will hold a food drive on Friday, April 26, at Quality Foods in Greer.
Local restaurant owner Hector Batista is opening his second location of Sofrito Latin Kitchen and Bar, which first opened on Woodruff Road in Greenville about six years ago. The new, second location of Sofrito Rotisserie opened officially on Wednesday, April 17, at 2801 Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 23, Taylors.
