William Thomas “Bill” Taylor, Sr., 83, of Orangeburg, and widower of Peggy Troutt Taylor, died September 5, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Bill and Peggy were happily married for 59 years.
Betty Clayton Herman departed this life on September 11, 2017 to join her beloved husband of 57 years, William (Bill) Herman in heaven. Betty was born on October 15, 1933 to the late Sherman and Julia Clayton and was a lifelong resident of the Greer area. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and sister Beatrice Hammett.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late W.T. Jackson and Lucy Melinda Green Jackson, a retired employee of W.R. Grace and member of First Baptist Church of Duncan.

A native of Greenville County, son of Donald LaFoy Pittman and wife, Mary Cathryn Pittman and the late Virginia Ardith Payment Pittman, he was a U.S. Army Veteran during Desert Storm, a member of the Patriot Guard, an employee of TBMC, Inc. and of the Baptist faith.
Camilla “Millie” Edith Christensen Johnson, 85, widow of Bernard Johnson, passed away on August 17, 2017.
She was born on October 3, 1931 in South Hampton, NY and moved to Greer, SC in 1997, a daughter of the late Carl and Anna Theodora Christensen, and was of the Catholic faith.
Otheda Spivey, 86, passed away on August 7, 2017 at Magnolia Place.
A native of Douglas, Georgia, daughter of the late J. Frank and Hazel Peacock Spivey, she was a homemaker, was of the Church of God faith and a big Atlanta Braves fan.
Herbert M. (Jack) Hamby, 88, was born March 7, 1929 to George W. and Nannie Leopard Hamby. He was the fifth of six sons and had two sisters. His death occurred on Aug. 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn, two daughters, Berta Hopkins and Caron Cooper; and son, Andrew Hamby.
Gladys Pittman Good, 92, widow of Toy Henry Good, passed away Aug.12, 2017.
A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Thurman and Rosie Harrison Pittman, a retired employee of Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital, and a member of the Greer Church of God of Prophecy.
