Harper Donald Hawkins Jr.

Harper Donald (Don) Hawkins Jr., 76, died Tuesday, July 12, at his home in Seattle, Wash.

Born July 18, 1939, in Greer, he was the son of the late Ruth Sullivan Hawkins and Harper D. Hawkins Sr.  He was a 1957 graduate of Greer High School and received an AB Degree from Wofford College in 1961.

David 'Elvis' Deane

David Alan “Elvis” Deane, 65, died July 7, 2016.

A native of Hialeah, Florida, son of the late Raymond E. and Emily Wenk Deane.

Surviving are three brothers, Bill Deane, Don Deane and Robert Deane.

A celebration of “Elvis’” life was held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Grace Place, Greer.

Jeanette Anderson Botts

Jeanette Anderson Botts, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died July 16, 2016. Jeanette was born on October 21, 1927 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Calvin Clement and Jean Dodson Anderson. She grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School in 1945 and Furman University in 1949.

Teresa Miller Turner, 54, widow of Gary Cecil Turner, died July 8, 2016. at Pelham Medical Center.

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Owen T. and Helen Breeden Miller, she was an employee of the Greenville County School District and attended Freedom Fellowship Church.

Donald Ralph Lowe, Jr.

Donald Ralph Lowe Jr. passed away on July 5, 2016.

A memorial service will be held on July 17 from 2-4 p.m. at the Country Plaza Suite 4 in Greer.

Surviving are his father, Donald Sr.; one son, Donovan Lowe; one daughter, Kia Suttles-Lowe and one granddaughter, Serinity Bickel.

Doris Mae Broadus, widow of Rufus Broadus, daughter of the late Son and Julia Brown Keith passed July 11. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.  As a member of the church, she was apart of the United Methodist Women Ministry.  She loved to garden and travel, and was a retired employee.

A native of York County, daughter of the late John Calvin and Helen Hunt May, she was a retired employee of Hoechst Celanese and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
