Arthur Bythewood Swett, 83, widower of Frances Connor Swett, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 3, 2015 at his home.
A native of Greenville, he was a son of the late Arthur Monroe and Sadie Friday Swett, a retired consulting engineer, member of Greer First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.  Arthur was a 1954 graduate of Clemson Agriculture College.
Surviving are a daughter, Anita Friday Swett Edgemon (John) of Clifton Springs, NY; two sons, Jeffrey Brannon Swett (Carol Anne) of Taylors and Arthur Benjamin Swett (Donna) of Greer; two sisters, Sara Ann Swett Wheeler of Simpsonville and Linda Marie Swett Linder of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Will Swett, Caitlin Swett, Connor Edgemon, Isaac Swett, and Reagan Swett.
He was also predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Bythewood Swett.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Rick Ezell and Mrs. Dottie Bryson.  Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be David Conner, Matt Linder, John Linder, Evan Wheeler, John Edgemon, Jeffrey Swett and Ben Swett
Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary prior to the service.
The family is at the home.
