Catherine H. Ferguson

Catherine H. Ferguson, 85, died on Thursday, Dec. 17.  Born in Taylors, she was the widow of Paul Lealon Ferguson and the daughter of the late William and Emma (Ayers) Hice.

Mrs. Ferguson worked many years at Textube Corp. and after retirement greeted thousands of people with her smile at Walmart in Greer.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Left behind to cherish special memories are: a daughter, Jean Hanley and her husband, Earl; two sons, Charles Ferguson and his wife, Julia, and Mack Ferguson; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Doris Stroud.  

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by eight brothers and six sisters.

The family would like to express appreciation for the compassion and care demonstrated to their Mom by the staffs of Bayberry Retirement Inn of Greer and Hospice of the Carolinas Foothills in Landrum.  

A private service of remembrance will be held by the family.  The family is at the home of the daughter, Jean.
