Dr. Joseph McCall Rogers, 92, passed away April 15, 2017.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Lanham Rogers and Ethel McMurray Rogers, a dentist, member of Greer First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of  World War II and the Korean War.  Dr. Rogers served as a volunteer dentist for nine years at the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Juanita Guthrie Rogers of the home; five children, Dr. Mark Rogers and his wife, Carolyn of Greer, Dr. Paul Rogers of Greer, Dr. Tom Rogers and his wife, Kathy of Taylors, Ben Rogers of Greer and Rosemarie Rogers Vaughn of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Louise Rogers of Greer; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by a son, David Rogers and a grandson, Joshua Rogers.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Mrs. Dottie Bryson and Dr. Doug Mize.  Private burial followed in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation was held 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary prior to the service.
Pallbearers were Dr. Mark Rogers, Dr. Paul Rogers, Dr. Tom Rogers, Ben Rogers, Caleb Rogers and Noah Vaughn.
The family is at the home.
