Hugh C. Brown

Hugh Curtis Brown, 78, of 4020 North Highway 101, died Feb. 11, 2016 at his home.

A native of Greer, son of the late Curtis O. and Vivian Willis Brown, he was a retired self-employed residential builder and a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Estelle Henderson Brown of the home; one son, Michael H. Brown (Lonni) of Greer; one daughter, Debbie Wade (Harold) of Greer; one brother, Morris Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Marian West of Columbia; three grandchildren, Katelyn Wade, Johnny Brown and Melissa Brown all of Greer and two step grandchildren, Andy Wade and Julie Norris.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Drew Hines, Rev. Gerald Johnson and Rev. Brian Holland.  Burial followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Mitchell Henderson, Andy Wade, Ryan Barnes, Billy Cox, Rusty Cox and Joey Henderson.

Honorary escorts were Jimmy Sudduth, Truman Crain, Buck Buchanan, Jerry Fowler and Robin Barnes.

Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.
