James P. Brockman, Sr.
James Preston Brockman, Sr., 78, passed away August 5, 2017 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late James Thomas and Clara Mae Godfrey Brockman, he was the owner of Brockman Automotive and attended Burnsview Baptist Church. He was a member of Sam Poe Masonic Lodge, Berea Lions Club, and Hejaz Shrine Temple Air Squadron Unit.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Jean Turner Brockman of the home; four sons, Daniel Ivester (Mary), James Brockman, Jr. (Mollie), Mark Brockman (Roxanne) all of Greer and Jason Brockman (Traci) of Easley; a daughter, Karen Trammell (Eddie) of Greer; two sisters, Jessie Mae Kemp of Greer and Joyce Holcombe of Hickory, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Leslie Mousa (Jeff), Ashley Simmons (Billy), Kaleigh Trammell, Austin Ivester, Brock Brockman, Chase Brockman, Graci Brockman and Kathryn Brockman; and three great-grandchildren, Cadence Mousa, Harper Mousa and Gemma Mousa.
Mr. Brockman was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Lee Brockman and one sister, Frances Brockman.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Burnsview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby and Rev. Jeff Mousa. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Edgar Padgett, Thomas Holcombe, BJ Simmons, Scott Jackson, Jeff Melton and Dekkar Moon.
Honorary escort will be the Hejaz Shrine Temple Air Squadron Unit.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
