Joyce K. Pruitt

Joyce Gail Kemp Pruitt, 71, passed away on March 25, 2020.

A native of Greer, daughter of the late Benson and Carolene Rogers Kemp, she was a retired employee for Greenville County School System and a member of Oneal Church of God.

Surviving are her husband, Harold L. Pruitt of the home; one daughter, Dedra Pruitt Hawkins (Keith) of Taylors; one son-in-law, Robert “Gabby” Owens (Marie) of Travelers Rest; one brother, Norman Kemp of Taylors; three step-brothers, Dean, Michael and Tony Bryant; five grandchildren, Jamie Owens (Amy), Brooke Banks (Scott), Hunter Wood (Kristen), Brandon Owens and Jessica Owens; and five great-grandchildren, Shaelyn Thompson, Braylon Wood, Landyn Banks, Ellie Owens and Lyam Banks.

Mrs. Pruitt was predeceased by one daughter, Cynthia Pruitt Owens; one brother, Ronnie Kemp; and one sister, Pam Gilreath.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Mountain View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest, conducted by Rev. Dewayne Pruitt and Steven Kemp.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Owens, Brandon Owens, Hunter Wood, Gabby Owens, Scott Banks, Keith Hawkins and Bobby Gilreath.

The family is at the home.

Visitation will be held after the service at the gravesite.
