Louis C. Rogers

Louis Columbus Rogers, 83, widower of Catherine Louise Fuller Rogers, passed away October 15, 2018.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Lawrence Columbus and Ruth Rogers, he was a retired carpenter and builder and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy R. Bishop (Barry D.) of Taylors; three grandchildren, Keith “Peedro” Bishop (Anna) of Greer, Joshua “Peedro” Bishop (Kristie) of Campobello, and Stephen “Peedro” Bishop (Chandler) of Taylors; and five great-grandchildren, Alexis Bishop, Jackson Bishop, and Kaytee Bishop all of Greer, Katelyn Bishop  of Taylors, and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly and Pastor Steven Griffith.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Keith Bishop, Joshua Bishop, Stephen Bishop, Jackson Bishop, Roger Smith and John Baker.

Honorary escort will be the Men’s Fellowship Sunday School Class of Riverside Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Barry Bishop.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joshua’s Way, 1001 W. Poinsett St., Greer, SC 29650.
