Maggie R. Hinton

Maggie Lois Roddy Hinton, 85, widow of Billy Hinton, passed away May 19, 2018.

A native of Pelham, she was a daughter of the late James Henry Roddy, Sr. and Agnes Ora Brookshire Roddy; a retired employee of Southern Weaving; and a member of  Pelham Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are one daughter, Vanessa Gibson (Toby), of Greer; one son, Rev. Wayne Hinton (Linda), of Woodruff; one son-in-law, Bill Maney, of Taylors; one sister, Sarah Elizabeth West, of Pelham; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Maney; five brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Barry Looper, Rev. Rose Cox, Rev. Byron Morrell and Dr. Julian Galloway. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Austin Mills, Ben Mills, Andrew Rice, Ricky Johnson, Steven Steadman, Rodney Hubbard, and Travis Gilmore.

The family will be at the home of the son, Rev. Wayne Hinton.
