Maj. Charles Oliver Robinson, 83, formerly of Fayetteville, North Carolina, died March 31, 2018 at Thrive at Greer, South Carolina.

A native of Duncan, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Vinson and Launa Robinson.  He served 24 years in the US Army, including two tours in Vietnam, retiring as a Major.

Surviving are: one daughter, Sandra Robinson/Warren Preston, of Arlington, Virginia; three sons, Leland Robinson/Bonita, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Greg Robinson/Julie, of Williamston, South Carolina, and MSG Steven Miller/Amy, of Linden, North Carolina; and seven grandchildren, Cory/Tacie, Amanda, Ashley Robinson, Douglas Preston and Colin, Meghan, Charlotte Miller.

He is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Lucretia Lunny Robinson, and a daughter, Thetis Robinson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 4, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Wood Mortuary Chapel.

Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Wood Memorial Park.
