Marvin Larry Waddell

Marvin Larry Waddell, 74, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away April 7, 2018, at his home after a battle with lung cancer. A native of Greer, South Carolina, he is preceded in death by his parents Marvin Dennis Waddell and Della Coley Waddell, and siblings David Waddell, Sarah Waddell Wingo and Antonia Waddell Dillard.

Marvin, a Tool and Die Supervisor/Design Engineer, retired from Club Car in 2006; previous employments were with Textron (Homelite Division), Greer, South Carolina, and Michelin Tire, Greenville and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Marvin is survived by his wife Kay Dixon Waddell and sons, Greg Waddell (Christina Turner) of Lexington, North Carolina, and Tad Waddell (Melanie Calautti Waddell) of Augusta, Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Clay, Olivia, Anna and Jillian Waddell of Augusta, Georgia.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Waddell will be cremated. There will be no services.

The family would like to thank the Heartland Hospice staff and especially Lindsey Moore and Paul Smith for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School, 1220 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
