Mikel Scott Parris

Mikel Scott Parris, age 47, of Duncan, South Carolina, went home to see Jesus on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Susanne (Susan) Parris, son of Mikel and Carolyn Brady Parris and son-in-law of John and Sandra Woods. Scott was the IT manager for Greer CPW and a member of the Greer Leadership Development Council. Susanne works for Spartanburg District 5 at D.R. Hill Middle School. They both are members of David Wilkerson’s Time Square Church and are contributors to their ministry, World Challenge.

He leaves behind a brother, Shane Parris, sister, Michele P. Jolley (Jeff), of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, also two nephews, Andrew and Daniel Jolley, and two nieces, Logan and Lynleigh Jolley.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private.

The family will be at the home of his parents, 421 Cobblestone Dr., Inman, SC 29349.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to World Challenge, Mail Processing Center, PO Box 8930, Pueblo, Colorado 81008, whose mission is to evangelize the lost, encourage and empower Christians in their daily walk and the alleviation of poverty in communities worldwide.
