Ronald L. Buysse

Ronald Leo Buysse, 70, of 1230 Mt. Zion Road, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Ronald was born in Marshall, Minnesota on March 19, 1949, a son of the late Leo Buysse and Marie Vandandries Buysse. He was the husband of Brenda Howard Buysse.

Ronald was a United States Marine veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, attended Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a retired employee with the United States Postal Service, and a member of the American Legion in Minnesota.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Buysse is survived by two grandsons, Dustin Close and his wife, Kayla, and Nate Simmons; and three great-grandchildren, Karter, Kameron and Kenna Close.

Ronald is also survived by two sisters, Anne Lonneman, of Luverne, Minnesota, and Marlene Desplinter, of Luverne, Minnesota; three brothers, John Buysse, of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Rick Buysse, of Luverne, Minnesota and Mike Buysse, of Lizmore, Minnesota; a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Diane Close, of Wellford, South Carolina.

Visitation will be held 3-3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the church, conducted by Rev. Gary Hensley.
