Rusty Trammell

Russell “Rusty” Scott Trammell, 51, of 167 Cherokee National Highway, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  

Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Cathy Hammett Trammell and son of Bill Trammell and Sandra Hudson Trammell of Greer.  He was a registered respiratory therapist at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, Spartanburg and of the Christian faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a son, Alex Trammell and wife, Megan of Grapevine, Texas; a daughter, Mary Catherine Trammell of the home; a brother, Lane Trammell and wife, Trisha of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Joni Lamb and husband, Marcus of Colleyville, TX and Kristi Lamb and husband, Gary of Gray, Georgia; 19 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Frank Trammell.

The family received friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.  Funeral services immediately followed at 2 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Marcus Lamb officiating. 

Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence, 167 Cherokee National Highway, Gaffney.
