A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Carl James Horton and Mildred Duncan Pitts, he was a retired employee of Chemgard and a member of Tucapau Baptist Church. Mr. Horton was a devoted Christian, husband, father, son, and “Poppi” to his two grandchildren.
Nina Abbott Davenport, age 90, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Jesus on December 14th, 2020. Daughter of the late William Cordy Abbott and Lettie Delight Kinlaw Abbott, she is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles Davenport and three children, Ron Davenport (Mia), Tim Davenport, and Tricia Alford.

Sara Snow Compton, 95, widow of Miles Franklin Compton, passed away December 15, 2020.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late H.B. “Bud” and Sallie Floyd Snow, she was a former employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing and Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Alvin William Donahue, 90, of Greer passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020.
Born in Beech Springs, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse Cleveland and Ruth Geddes Donahue.
Alvin was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church in Greer, SC.
John Larry Wells, Sr., 83, of Tigerville went home to be with our savior Jesus Christ on December 13, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in 1937 to the late Samuel B. and Loree C. Wells of Pelzer. He retired from Winn Dixie Stores, Inc. and was a loyal member of Tigerville Baptist Church for 50 years.
Bertie Mae Hayes McGinley, 85, passed away December 11, 2020.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late Coleman A. and Ola Greene Hayes, she was a retired housekeeper of a nursing home and of the Baptist Faith.
