William “Bill” Sylvester Loftis, 71, of 308 W. Arlington Road passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

He was the son of the late Homer and Ruth Rogers Loftis. He was predeceased by his wife Brenda Darnell Duncan Loftis.

Evelyn Smith Edwards, 95, of Highway 14 S., Greer, widow of James Allen Edwards, Sr., died June 10, 2014 at The Cottages at Brushy Creek.
 
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Clarence and Cynthia M. Burnette Smith, she was a retired employee of Her Majesty and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
 

Kay C. Underwood

Kay Chastain Underwood, 61, of Memorial Drive Ext., died May 29, 2014 at her home, after an extended illness.

A native of Greer, she was the daughter of the late R.C. and Elizabeth G. Chastain. She was a graduate of Winthrop College, and retired from MetLife in Greenville. Kay was a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of Ruby Powell Bradley of Greer and the late Marvin J. Bradley, Sr., and a member of the Woodruff Road Worship Center.

A native of Danville, Va., daughter of the late Garland Chesher and Lillie Mae Durham Snead, she was a homemaker.

Robert Anthony “Tony” Smith, 57, died April 18, 2014 at his home. He was the owner of WETSU Welding and founding member of The Gas Holes.

A native of Greer, he was a son of Robert L. (Gail) Smith and the late Betty Jo Brezeale.
