A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Eddie George and Thelma Blackwell Duncan, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Larry Elton Mathis, 64, of Etowah passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 22, at his home. A son of the late Elton and Elsie Mathis, he was born in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Mathis.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Charles Adam and Nora McFarlane Morgan, he was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and the owner of Reliable Plumbing & Heating.

Charles David Strange, 84, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Greer Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of the late Oliver and Marie Mason Strange and was the husband to Wilma Gosnell Strange.  He was a Supervisor for Lyman Printing and Finish and a veteran of the United States Army.  He served as a Deacon at Milford Baptist Church.

A native of Pelham, son of the late Gurley Green and Hassie Bell Brown Harrison, he was a retired brick mason and a member of Pelham Church of God of Prophecy.
