Velma Colleen Stokes Belcher Phillips, 88,  of Greer, widow of Odell Phillips, died April 9, 2014 at Alpha Health and Rehab.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Edmond E. and Susie Atkins Stokes, she was a retired employee of Tungsten Industries and a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church.

Timothy Scott Llewelyn, M.D., beloved area physician, passed away April 11, 2014, following a valiant struggle against cancer at the age of 63. He actively practiced internal medicine for 30 years in Spartanburg, serving over 20 years with the Spartanburg Regional Medical Group of the Carolinas.

Well known and much-beloved attorney, Family Court Judge, and specially appointed Circuit Judge, Benny R. Greer, age 88, died March 29, 2014 after a long illness, at his home in Darlington, South Carolina, surrounded by his family.

Annie Belle Cape Dilworth, 89, of South McElhaney Road, Greer, was welcomed into her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her beloved husband of 57 years, G.W. Dilworth, on April 10, 2014.  She was born on December 28, 1924 to the late Cleve and May Bell Cape but lived most of her life in Upstate.

Jincie “Jean” Ballenger Davis, 95, formerly of Gap Creek Road, Greer, widow of Rev. Norwood Davis, died April 1, 2014 at Windsor House.

James Theron Hawkins Sr. (Hawk), of Panama City Beach, Fla. passed away at his home March 26, 2014.

Mr. Hawkins was born March 17, 1951 and grew up in Greer. He was an outstanding athlete, played football for Troy State University and completed his Master’s in Education in 1977.

David Keith Pinckney, 54, of 124 Henderson Road, Greer, died March 31, 2014 at his home.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, son of Richard Davant and Patricia Ann Smith Pinckney, he was an employee of D&D Motors and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Mary “Anne” Hyman, 74, passed away in the comfort of her home in Taylors on Wednesday March 26, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.
