Explosion inside Quality Inn room leaves teacher dead

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is investigating an explosion inside a Quality Inn room that left a Berea Middle School teacher dead Monday morning. Coroner Parks Evans identified the victim as 39-year-old Laurie Patton of Travelers Rest.
